1. The Famous ‘Top Gun’ House
201 N Myers St, Oceanside, CA 92054
The historic Graves House where it stood in as the oceanfront home of Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood, the love interest of Tom Cruise’s LT Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the Top Gun film, just opened on May 4, 2022, as a retro pie shop and bakery in downtown Oceanside.
Open daily, High-Pie will also serve hot coffee as well as specialty drinks like apple kombucha, cherry cider, and New Orleans-style iced coffee sweetened with condensed milk.
2. Hangar 76
3229 Roymar Road, Oceanside, CA 92058
Three years in the making, Hangar 76 featuring brewery and Carruth Cellars opened to the public April 1, 2022. Purchased and developed by Carruth Cellars, the 17,500-square-foot Oceanside warehouse has been converted into a multi-use venue that will serve as the new production hub and fourth tasting room for the local winery as well as the first brewing facility and taproom for Tipping Pint Brewing Co.
3. Valle
339 North Cleveland Street, Oceanside CA 92054
Valle sources fresh ingredients from California, and fuses together favorites from Baja Mexico’s Guadalupe Valley wine region. Valle features natural elements designed to enhance its space and create a welcoming and warm atmosphere for guests to unwind, dine, and drink (fine) Guadalupe wine. The seafood is sourced straight from local fishermen and the views of the Pacific Ocean are stunning.
4. The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific Hotel
201 N Myers Street, Oceanside CA 92054
A great spot for drinks, appetizers and a breathtaking coastline views and iconic sunsets is the Rooftop Bar located at the new Mission Pacific Hotel. There aren’t any other rooftop options in North County San Diego with views this spectacular. The food menu is light so expect light apps like oysters, ceviche and tacos. Drinks feature fresh juices and a focus on tequila.
5. COMING SOON – Cococabana
408 Pier View Way, Oceanside, CA 92054
Set to open in June of 2022 and housed on the Brick Hotel’s 2,100-square-foot rooftop is Cococabana, a Caribbean-style cocktail bar with its own menu of small bites. Judging by the renderings, this place is going to be epic.
